About

As a Jesus follower, I believe that deep change can take place in our work together because of the willingness to weave theology and psychology together in a way that produces results. All of this takes place from a relational perspective. What is unique about the relational approach is that our work together will address the symptoms that cause impasses in your life and if you wish, to also draw us near and experience the sources of impasse in a way that will more likely bring about long-lasting change. FAMILY I grew up in a naval family in the Kitsap area and have remained on the peninsula for the past 30+ years. My wife Michelle and I have been married for over 18 years and we have two energetic boys. If it is a sunny day, you’ll likely find us at play near some body of water. EDUCATION I am Master’s level therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH60656337) in the state of Washington. I received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I have also double majored with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Northwest University. EXPERIENCE My experiences have prepared me well to be both professional and personable. I have been counseling in various capacities for the past 15 years and it has been an honor to be a help people along the way. I am also currently employed as a teaching pastor and pastoral counselor at Gateway Fellowship in Poulsbo, WA where I have the opportunity to help strengthen couples and families to become who they were meant to be. Prior to this, I served as the student ministries pastor in which I had the opportunity to lead and mentor adolescents along with the parents of teens and pre-teens. My pastoral roles have allowed me to experience and serve in different cultures such as India and Indonesia. In addition to these, I have helped those in need in the inner-cities of East L.A. and Washington D.C. These experiences have helped me to be more culturally conscious as I enter into new relationships. Previously, I worked with Catholic Community Services of Western Washington, which is located in Bremerton, Washington. I had the opportunity to work with a vast array of clients to prepare me for the diversity that Western Washington offers.
